Overcome The Depression

That Accompanies Congestive Heart Failure

hypnosis & NLP depression MP3sCongestive heart failure, or CHF, is among the most common chronic diseases in the United States. Almost five million people cope with this condition, and 500,000 others develop it each year. This disease can be slightly problematic, or it can become disabling and interfere with daily living.

Individuals with CHF have numerous changes from their usual daily routines. They must take drugs to relieve fluid accumulation and to decrease the work performed by their heart muscle. Some of these cause anxiety and exhaustion. These drugs can also hinder physical intimacy with a spouse or significant other.

One other struggle that individuals with this condition encounter is the need for major diet changes. Many must quit eating beef, avoid meals high in fats or salt, or restrict the quantity of fluids they consume each day. They are encouraged to lose weight and exercise to keep their bodies as fit as possible.

Unfortunately, however, individuals with CHF do not have as much energy for physical activity as they previously did. Rather, they must watch as friends and relatives play volleyball, run, or jog. This leads to despair and inadequacy. In addition, many people grieve their loss of physical strength and energy.

Many patients who experience this and are not yet of retirement age also have to quit working. As well as causing financial stress and depression, this can worsen emotions of isolation and loneliness. They find themselves alone. Rather than of chatting with the worker at the neighboring desk, they watch the television while their friends continue living.

Occasionally, sufferers take anti-depressant or anti-anxiety drugs to cope with these losses. Alternatively, people may choose psychotherapy or group therapy to assist them with fulfilling socialization needs and processing the grief created by their newly changed lifestyles.

A healthier method of coping with this type of depression, however, has gained recent attention and achieved practically instant popularity among individuals who have tried it. Furthermore, unlike drugs or psychotherapy, this approach is quite economical. People can learn to use it without encountering additional financial hardship.

This technique, which involves a blend of Ericksonian hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), helps clients to learn to relax and find peace and tranquility in their daily lives. These strategies teach clients to accept the new limitations in their lives while aiding them to continue living life as completely as possible. Even depression that occurs because of medication</a> can be easily treated with the successful application of the methods utilized by hypnotherapy and NLP. Two such strategies are anchoring and the Flash.

Ericksonian Hypnotherapy is usually known as conversational hypnotherapy. It offers methods for supplying post-hypnotic suggestions rooted in a conversation or metaphor. The benefit of this technique is that it removes the resistance to direct suggestions that is almost always encountered when using more traditional types of hypnosis.

Through anchoring, hypnotherapists and NLP Practitioners teach people to concentrate on positive thoughts and situations from the past in which they felt calm and capable. As the client is progressively immersed in these recollections, they can experience these emotions once more. The person then learns to make a concrete anchor for these emotions by placing two fingers in contact with one another. The subconscious mind creates a connection between the physical touch of these two fingers, and the good emotions. Afterward, when the client encounters an anxiety-producing or upsetting moment, an anchor is triggered through placing together these same two fingers, evoking feelings of peacefulness and tranquility.

The Flash technique is also quite helpful to people who are trying to conquer depression. This approach programs the mind to automatically utilize the destructive thoughts that are causing anxiety and sadness, as triggers for positive perspectives that will create relaxation and happiness. Over time, clients usually find themselves almost unable to think negative thoughts!

Summary: Individuals with CHF typically experience sadness because of mourning over loss of their physical health and strength. Other components that sometimes help cause depression include medications and financial stresses. Both Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and NLP provide superior techniques for assisting clients to cope with sadness without being forced to expend huge amounts of time and money.
